Some pubs and clubs are now refusing entry if you wear this "fashion", due to its connection with thug culture.
I bet Burberry are so pleased their neat little checks made it in to the social underclass wardrobe.

burberry boys **** me off completely, they only go out looking for trouble FACT, its exactly the same as people who wear short sleeve ben sherman shirts. clubs are riddled with these Idiots, MOTO/Wilsons and ben sherman long sleeve are for good honest gentlemen lmfao

All those designer names you mention- burberry, stone island etc etc etc are for pathetic wanabees who like to show off their "wealth" for all around to see. Same goes for people who feel the need to wear gaudy designer watches costing £1000's.
It's no wonder all the low rent neds wear that kit- personally I can't see much difference between them and their older bretheren who've earned a few quid and now spend their vacuous lives playing golf, living in appallingly poorly designed and contructed "executive" homes on some brown field housing estate and taking their fat wives to harvester/other crap carvery place on a Sunday with their repellent children. 2 sides of the same coin.

I'm with NACRO. Stone Island has been the brand for the Leeds Utd "Service Crew" 
for a few years now. Burberry is just council estate Trisha trash clothing, along with cK. I avoid all obvious and popular brands these days, and only pay over the odds for technical clothing for outdoor pursuits. <Flame suit> It's all a bit "Gold Alloys" to me. </flame suit> and running

Burberry was never any good - even bfore it became tarnished with thugerry, it was the preserve of American Tourists. No Englishaman would buy the stuff until about 1998/9 when slag Kate Moss started wearing it.
It is fascinating how each generation of teenage criminals and thugs always draw attention to themselves with adopting a distincitve uniform. Must make the police' job easy: just arrest every jerk in a Burberry baseball cap. Make my job keeping my house and family safe too: just avoid the tossers.

Same goes for people who feel the need to wear gaudy designer watches costing £1000's.
I wear a Raymond Weil costing £1000s because i like it. not because i want to show my wealth. On other days a wear a beaten Citizen watch because I like it.
Burberrys funny. almost wet myslf laughing when i saw Burberry Fragrances.

Stone Island is still cool, Burberry and Hackett never were and won't ever be. Does anyone know anything about Stone Island, who designs what range? Why they have black and green edge badges, what materials do they use and why? Just wondering as I know a great deal about Stone Island and its range and its all pretty good. I still wear Stone Island but only non badged examples, I buy it coz its well designed and lasts due to the materials it made from. My latest jacket is ventile (look it up) which means its the only standard non treated cotton which is 100% water proof, been used by the special forces for years and is amazing stuff. When I walk into a bar soaked from rain I just shake the ******* and its dry for when I leave, thats why I pay more for it, its quality.

You've only got to look at the CCTV pictures the Old Bill release of footie hooligans to see that the standard oik uniform is a burberry cap these days!!

Not that I have ever been remotely fashionable...
Burberry kind of rang alarm bells for me when there was a documentary on TV at the begining of 2003 focusing on the National Front pheneomenon that was growing in Oldham (i think). The entire gang of "minders" and "assitants" at the election anouncment portion of the program we kitted out as burberry boys.

Stone Island is the most in demand gear, though, and the best made. I wear it and don't give a **** what people think.
It used to be Timberland boots that were banned from all the bars a couple of years ago, along with Lacoste.
It'll be another brand name soon that has it's name on the 'NO ******' above the door of the pretentious pub/bar.
