Well , 2004 really blows at the moment . Lost my car on a round about and did a 180 , mounted the kerb ... damage to vehicle , luckily no one around , no injuries etc...

Then last night / this morning ... my 7 1/2 yr relationship with the missus has now ended. Dont know what to do .. feel like im in a right sh1tter at the moment, its absolutely killing me ... we are only on the 4th day of the year.

I'll probably go into work tomorrow and find out i have lost my job !!

... time to move on ... might buy a subaru to make me happy

I say this every New Year followed by 'This is gonna be my year!', it never is though. I blame Illegal Immigrants.

Talking

Last year sucked, I though the previous year was bad but last year was worse.

The only thing I do have is the car, that's about it, not for long though - it'll be going in a few months. The only rock I have is my mum. Sad really, as the people you help and who depended on me did'nt want to know when I needed help. It most certainly opened my eyes as who is a true friend.

There is a light on the end of the tunnel...that's what I keep saying to myself.

Question is...how long is the tunnel? Perhaps this year may see me emerge from it, I hope so.

I'm going through it at the moment too. It's now 5 weeks since i split from my girl of over 3 years
There is nothing you can do to make it feel better - it is simply a case of take it as it comes, and time will heal.
I still have bad days, and i have good days! Fact of life

Takes time to heal, and eventually, it will feel better.

brett, this sounds a massive downer...it must have been on the cards for sometime so i guess you saw it coming right?

cars are materialistic things and can be replaced with money so cheer up mate... it can only get better (they will )!

good luck for the rest of 2004

Well if it makes you feel any better my XMAS and New Year was a disaster:-

I got admitted to hospital on Monday 22nd with an infection of my lymph glands (caused by a wisdom tooth infection).
Nearly popped my clogs on 24th (apparently), but the intravenous anti-biotics pulled me round and once they had started to take affect they decided to let me out on XMAS day, which in itselfs sounds OK, but then I'd not bought any food, presents or anything and I'd been planning on spending XMAS up North with the family.
Took me 4 days to get over it once released, but just as I started to pull round I got the cold that's going around, which trashed New Year for me as well.

They didn't let me have any alchol whilst on the antibotics either, so couldn't even drown my sorrows :-(

Sorry to hear about your problems.............however I'm having a great start to the new year with a new toy to play with, 2 weeks off work and the prospect of a move to the Cayman Islands.

Life is sweet.

I totally understand mate. Split up with my ex fiancee(of 5.5 years) 2 weeks into Jan last year, buggered off with her manager Had to sell the house and scoob and move back to my folks etc. Finally got it sold in June, moved home, paid off my debts, bought a Supra and just had a right laugh and really enjoyed being single again getting about everywhere - major hectic social life

Took a while to get over what had happened but as everyone told me then times a great healer, its just very painful to start with You really find out who your mates are too

So I've messed about for a while not particularly bothering with girls then went out last minute on New Years and met a nice girl that night. Went on a first date last night and it was superb

Chin up and things will all work out - I know!

chin up mate, it gets better!
i split with my bird day after boxing day. cushty!! ****** was boring me stupid after 9 months, and ive still got another 3 on the go anyway

the way i see it is this. until i meet 'the one', im gonna fukk everything thats wet n warm. sod em, they prefer b@stards anyway treat em badly most of the tme, and occasionally be nice to 'em, they love it!
im 34, no kids, a workaholic, beemer driver(), and lifes ****** peachy! being single means that you can poke any bird you like without worrying about being moaned at by a girlfriend

the glass is either half full, or half empty. its your choice! hope you feel better soon.

It will get better m8, with or without the help of the odd, and I mean very odd 'tactless' reply from the 'odd' person on this thread.

And I don't mean the humorous ones trying to cheer you up, I suppose if you don’t laugh you cry.

As for the car... my fog lamp just smashed this morning .. wooo hooo... i think the accident is an excuse to have all the bodywork brought upto pristine condition i think .

well... lets see how work is this morning ...
