People who like to queue, especially in traffic jams. This usually leaves half the road surface unused meaning a longer wait for everyone. They should use all the road and then filter in, politely. Problem is people in the UK secretly enjoy waiting then they can get all holier than thou when they see a queue jumper. To55ers.

How about these for starters:-

1) Law and order - judicial system and police force is a joke. The few criminals who are arrested get away with just about anything as long as they claim they're from a broken home and don't speed. A country where someone with as extreme, blinkered views as Brunstrom can become a very senior police officer has a major problem with it's policing structure imho.

2) The way some parents no longer want to be parents and expect everyone else to do it for them. You can't watch certain films in case kids see them because some parents aren't responsible enough to stop the little brats watching them, chatrooms get closed on the Internet because some parents can't be bothered to monitor their sprog's activities on the web etc. etc. As well as all this kids never do anything wrong any more - they're just being children - bollocks they just need some discipline.

3) The 'I'm alright Jack society' that we now have. To a lot of people it seems to be OK to lie, cheat etc. for personal gain. Putting one over someone is met with glee and personal greed seems to be a celebrated personality characteristic.

I could go on (probably all day), but I'd better go and do some work (no doubt for some ungrateful client who at the last minute will try and screw me on price ).

Oh and before anyone says well why don't you emigrate if you hate it so much I have aging parents who are both not in the best of health. Unlike some of the other selfish *******s in this country I am not going to disappear to far off lands leaving them with no one to fight their corner in our wonderful and fair land.

I hate my self for saying this but we don't suffer from any of those problems were I live in Germany, kids are polite and respectfull, germans and queues is well know but they are getting better, there is lots of beurocracy and red tape here and it is Socialist but on the whole far better standards than in Britain, also no litter or dog turds either.

I have never had my car touched but I do often get gangs of teanagers standing round it at adistance and looking, then asking questions, but I have no worries about it getting keyed or stolen.

I find the same thing Wurzel, gangs of teenage kids here are actually more likely to look after your car than vandalise it or try to rob it. Must just be a UK/urban decay/failing society thing for the most part, probably something to do with the way the UK aligns itself with the USA culturally as well as militarily.

Perhaps the UK should try to model itself on Europe a bit more?

I work in the US quite a lot and the gangs of teenagers over there are for the most part exactly as you describe - genuinely interested in whatever you're driving and not likely to vandalise it. Don't believe everything you read in the French press

My comments are based on having visited the states more times than I care to remember.Have always found gangs of American teenagers to be the same as the ones you get hanging around shops in the UK ie buy us liquor, hang around car, possibly key it or try to steal.

The UK and US are very, very similar in a lot of ways, gun crime, selfish attitude, irrational urban rage, race hate etc etc. Not saying Europe is any kind of paradise but most of it is a lot better in terms of this sort of yobbish/thug culture.

As for race hate - hmmmm! France and Germany may just not be utopia regarding this one

Christ where do u start?? complete decay in the fabric of society would come close, denial of anything which comes close to a national identity (unless its invloves thugs or soldiers)which means instead of having pride in your enviroment & being responsibly English/British u r now too scared to be branded a racist by ignorant to**ers making a name for themselves. Finally being consistently sold down the river by short term finacial/politcal alliances since the industrial revolution began.

I hate the fact that we moan our asses off about stuff like speed cameras and taxes but are not prepared to do anything about it. We are so apathetic. You grudgingly have to admire the way the French as a people will not be bullied by politicians.
