Anyone would think that only one plane has ever been built, I dont want to take away from the acheivement but I would like to know what planes other people have a soft spot for ?

My personal favourites are,

Airliners

Boeing 747SP (The baby Jumbo)

Millitary

got back from hols in December at Manchester and on landing the plane turned round where Concord was and got a good look at it, dosent look very big but looks top, shame it couldn't continue.
Not a good flyer myself.

Dont have any faves but am amazed how they get up there.

Its funny, was never really bothered about planes, passing interest, little more but over the last couple of years I have been looking on the web and borrowing books from the library, who knows in a couple of years I will be at Manny Airport with my airband radio, thermos and egg butties with the other spotters, at least plane spotters see themselves are more racy and dynamic than train spotters.

Not really !

I hate airliners, there are too many other elements in charge of your destiny for my liking.

I also dislike foreign cheapo med holidays, and airliners are
usually involved, hence the problem, though if I had to choose a
favourite, it would be one one I was sat in about 2 minutes after
landing.

Call that a soft spot if you will

Military planes - somewhat more interesting:

oldies:

Bad *** award:

creative:

the daddy :

The business, and my personal favourite :

mj, ( not a plane spotter, honest )

XT, paah....

..apart from the russian entry, you have a penchant for pants planes.

Personally I'd go for:

A4 Skyhawk
F5 errr... Tiger I think
Hawker Hunter
F104 -- The Widowmaker
Saab Viggen or I might be thinking of Gripen
Never liked any of the French ones with canards -- now the bloody Typhoon's got them!
MiG 15
MiG 25 Foxbat
Vulcan (who made these -- Avro?)
De Havilland Vampire
...and ooh, the thrust-vectored F16 test aircraft has to be worth a mention

Lol, a bird in one of the B1's engines was enough to take it down.

Yes, XT, that is a picture of the Avro Vulcan. And a fantastic noise it used to make, too.

They also used it as a test bed for the Rolls-Royce/SNECMA Olympus engines used on the Concorde.
