So it seems anyway. The normal bobby on the beat who carries out the traffic checks at the North (city end) of London Bridge were today replaced with armed police in full gear - bullet proof vests, weapons, berrets - not quite the same as what are normally stationed there in the mornings.

Wondering if they are expecting an attempted attack on London. Anyone hear of anything or see similar at other check points in London today?
