I feel sick, my head is spinning and I don't know what to do. It has made me want to put right what has gone wrong, and value what I have, yet I still feel a sense of emptiness. At this moment in time I no longer strive for what I did only a few hours ago. I feel like curling up in a little ball in a corner and staying there for ever.
Why does it have to happen to the good ones? He was young and had everything going for him. I was his 'bestest friend-girl in the world', I love him like a brother and now he has just vanished from the face of the earth.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Sorry for you loss.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
My two best mates from leaving School were brothers. The eldest, Mark, moved to Australia around ten years ago. The other brother Carl and myself used to be out every night doing something or other. Carl saved up and around 8 years ago flew out to see Mark in Australia, I was gutted because I couldn't afford to go at the time. On Carl's second day he collapsed and died from a massive heart attack while having a shower. The Doctors said he was probably carrying a heart defect from birth. He was 26 when he died.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
It's not easy to get over when anyone close dies and I think the younger they are the worse it is.
The only advise I can offer is to remember the good times and talk to those that knew him as well. Try to remember that he wouldn't want to see you down and distraught so remember him with a smile.

i know this wont help claire but i know exactly how you feel, i've just found out today that one of my mates has a maximum of 3 years to live, he's been battling against cancer for about 11 years.
hearing your news makes me feel lucky that i've got some time with him.
may you have my deepest sympathies xxx

Sorry to hear this Claire. My sympathies.
I lost my great friend and brother about 2 years ago. Its very hard to come to terms with, but all we can do is remember the great times we had together and ask them to guide us from their new position.
