AV wiring help required
#1
OK I bought RB170's 32" tv and projector at the weekend and now require some advice re wiring it into my gf's dvd set up.
TV is Sony Wega 32" WS 100Hz - FV32FX60,
Projector is Epson EMP3000
DVD 'system' is Panasonic FS-DT100
Amstrad digibox (soon to be a sky+ box)
Video - Sony SLVE-700
On the rear of the dvd player/amp I have a six phono connection~scart which I have connected directly to AV1 scart on the tv - sky box is connected to the tv via another scart (AV2).
If I switch on the digibox it doesnt automatically bring the picture up on the screen without me going to channel 8 on the tv. With the dvd player I get sound coming out of the dvd system speakers but no picture - all I get is a black screen on the tv. Do I need to tune the tv into the dvd signal? With my old tv as soon as I switched sky or put a dvd in the tv cut to whichever device I wanted to use.
So how do I wire in the projector?
Have tried using a S-video connection from the dvd player to the projector but no picture.
Should I be filtering all this via a 'proper' av amp (I have a Yam DSP-A5 at my place) however we dont have the space for some 4 foot floor standing speakers at hers!
Cheers

The ability to automatically swicth to the AV when you switchthe source on requires an extra pin int the scart cable. You Wont have that with a 6-Phono to Scart cable - and it sounds like its missing on the Digi-Box to TV scart aswell.
I have mine (I have the Same TV) connected as follows
Digibox->AV1 (via fully wired Scart For RGB picture)
DVD--\
XBox---->AV Amp--->AV2 (via s-vid to Scart For S-Video - always use amp for sound)
PSX--/
Video-->AV3 (via fully wired scart. composite pic only)
(Also Digibox-2 to Video-2 for Sky Recording)
Turning digibox on or playing a video cause the TV to switch to the right AV. I always have to select AV2 manually if I Want Xbox/DVD/PSX.
