bit of a long shot this one, but someone might know!
basically, i have one of those cordless phone answer machine things, and it came with 2 handsets which is handy when you live in a three storey house with your brother on the top deck. anyone, somehow or other he managed to kill his handset (or maybe it just stopped working), which comet duly replaced under guarantee. only prob is that the new one won't connect to the base station. i can't find the handbook, but i was wondering maybe you have to do soemthing to make it look on the right channel or whatever. the model is bt sagem on air 2250. i've had a look on the sagem website but that tells you fa. just thought i'd try my luck here before slinging the whole lot back at comet.

Without the book it will be difficult but yes you certainly have to programme it to the base station and give the handset a number.
Try the phones menu button to see if you can work through it.
Does the base station have a "page" facility?
