Question for five-o, foglights on car
#1
Hello,
I was stopped tonight about 7.45 on the way somewhere, and it was found out that i had a front light out, i apologised alot as you do, and nice guy let me off but just for tonight as i couldnt get it fixed he told me to keep my front fogs on just to let cars know i wasnt a bike, is this normal practise?
Cause as you can imagine i had about 50 cars full beam me on the way to my destination and again on the way home.
Maybe he was teaching me a lesson as i will be getting up earlier to head to halfords to purchase a new front light.

Did you know that if you admit to driving a car when you know a headlight isn't working, if they decide to prosecute it's a mandatory 3 points on your license ?
Happened to me about 10 years ago, bulb went as I switched headlights on to make 5 mile journey home. When stopped they asked if I knew a headlamp bulb was out, and stupidly I told the truth, "yes, it went 5 minutes ago when I started the car".
Wrong answer as the plod was obviously in a bad mood. Still irritates the hell out of me that he decided to do me.
