I'm going to put together a basic website and logo for a friend who has a small building company (patios, porches stairs etc..)

I'm after a little bit of creative advice really for a logo to put on the letterheads, van and website. Needs to be fairly simple, I'm pretty good with photoshop, just lacking alittle on the creative side , anyone any ideas?

The Name of the company is "Astley Building Services"

Had a look, bit too much for a basic logo, i'm looking for a simple design, i started to cobble something together, but only got as far as this..

just a thought, you'd probably get a better result using illustrator to design your logo as with vector graphics loss of quality with resizing isnt an issue so will be better for your multi purpose needs

I am in the process of setting up my own business and needed a logo, approached the local college who have a graphics design class and they were only to happy to take it on as a "real" commissioned project. Make sure you get copyright!
