This is not a 'For Sale' post, so please do not move it to the For Sale Forum! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
On behalf of a family friend I'm selling an Gibson ES 335 TD Semi-Acoustic Guitar on eBay (those of you who are interested may see the auction here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3700496207).
I'll be honest, I know Sweet-F-A about guitars but am wanting to get the best price possible for my friend, and so am wanting to know of any music or guitar related forums where I should post details.
As the guitar is a fairly specialist unit, and therefore relatively expensive, I need a forum where people know what they're talking about.
Thanks!

Your friend says that he has a reserve price of £4,750 and yet there is no reserve set in ebay. So if someone wins the auction at less than this price your friend is contractually bound to sell it to the winning bidder.

The price of sticking the auction up with a reserve price of £4,750 was just under £100.
As we were not (and still aren't) guaranteed a sale, I thought £100 was a bit steep - a price he can't really afford to pay.
As a result, I thought it'd be best if I simply stated the reserve price in the description and in the mean time keep a close eye on the auction.
Thank you for highlighting it though!
