Personally I don't think any of the people who resigned should have. It is quite blatent to the public that the government are liars and they got WMD wrong.

Anyway my motto don't vote the government will get in

Ian,
Totally agree with you. I hope Greg Dyke speaks his feelings in the next few days as well.

Have to laugh when Teflon Tony says he wants to draw a line under the whole issue. I bet he does.

Does this mean that the government are going to resign because they got the WMD wrong (maybe not intentionally, but they still did)

Somehow I don't think so.

I can see the BBC going down hill now as it sides towards Labour as not to get in to trouble again.

May go the other way.BBC have been supporting Labour for years. Now theyve shot the messenger things are likely to change. Maybe Andy Marr will get a bit more sarcy than of late as well.

There have not been any stockpiles of WMD or WMD programmes since 1991.

Its becoming obvious as to where this mess is heading...

Bushbaby wants to know where the WMD are cos he now thinks he made a mistake..he has already stated in a roundabout way that he took advice from Blair before taking up arms and invading Iraq. Guess who is going to be classed as the 'bad boy' now? Bushbaby is heading for the boot from being in charge, over Iraq...what better way to try and wriggle out of the blame than to blame Blair.

The worms are turning at last. Blair and Bushbaby are guilty for the deaths of servicemen, civilians and in Blair's case Dr Kelly. The Hutton report was a complete whitewash as most of us realised it would be. You cannot have an independant enquiry run by a Government appointed High Court Judge. The BBC have been treated dreadfully, the resignations should be from The Blair Bunch not the one independant broadcaster who did get it right from the start and did place doubts on the WMD question.

This Government cannot be allowed back into power at the next election, and nor can Bushbaby..they have innocent blood on their hands, time for them to step up to the plate and accept their fates.
