Why all of a sudden have these things flooded the market on e-bay?

I can't find anything about them from search engines.
Does anyone know if they work or is it a bunch of tosh?

Saw a "how do they do that?" prog the other day, and one of the things mentioned was RF and how with older machines, certain RF frequencies would effect the machines. Not exactly sure on how it worked, but as RF does interfere with electronics then I could see how this could be used to get a winning line, and no doubt you're fingers removed by the pit boss.
