Where does it come from and how much?
Any tech info.
Be nice if it worked but probably just snake oil.
Be interesting to hear from people who have been prosecuted when using this or camera shy plates.
What did the photos look like?

Think you'll find it's a cheap can of Matt Black spray paint from Halfords!!

Directions: Spray number plate with black spray....leave to dry

Reg will 'never' be displayed........... never mind on camera

.........or you could just take them off!!

There was a roumour a few years ago the hairspray did the same sort of thing. Think the idea is that to the normal eye you can read the plate but the coating causes the flash to be reflected more causing a bright spot and making the numbers hard to read. Usually doesn't work and if the police can work out your reg then they'll prosecute you for not having a correct number plate! The easier solution is to stick to the speed limit when driving past speed cameras

Interesting how it doesn't manage to completely mask the blue of the Euro badge yet does completely remove the thick black lettering of the number plate... hmmmm!

Also, definately won't work with SPECS as theres no flash involved!

I always thought this stuff was just a gimmick as well, until I noticed this when I download my piccys from this years auto sports show.

Piccy 1 - side shot, reg no clearly visible.

Piccy 2 - front shot no number and lots of flash bounce!!!

I cant remember anything about the car though, anyone any thoughts???

The bikers used to say that covering the plate with Cling film did the same job. Don't know if it did any good though.
