Certainly anything with binocular vision shouldn't have a problem, that covers most meat eating animals as well as the primates. The colour of it may be the bigger issue than the fact that it is 2D.

Other animals, well dunno really, but would assume they can see the colour / shapes to a degree even if they can't make much sense of it.

Tell the cat to play with my fish.... they also can see in virtual darkness but have excellent full colour vision compared to moggy's bodged semi-colour vision!

One of my dogs regularly watches animals on the TV.

Funny when they run off screen, and he goes to see where they went

D

My Gran's dog loves Crufts, sits there in front of the telly mesmirised (sp?), tho she barks at certain breeds (the dog, not my Gran)

Our old border collie used to watch TV. Started off with One Man and His Dog, used hear the theme music and come flying in to watch the sheep dogs in action

My rabbit was happy sat on my lap when I was watching footie on the telly, don't know if she was watching it or not tho...
