I could cope with this stealth tax, if other areas were getting better, like burglary, street crime, muggings, theft, drugs, etc etc etc, but they just AREN'T!!!

Hey I agree, I don't like it either, and have been caught by a camera in Southend when I was only doing 5mph over the speed limit.

All the moaning in the world is not going to change the daft laws that we now have to abide by due to this government sucking every last penny out of us motorists.

end of the day if every 1 didnt break the law and kept to the speed limit the police wouldnt be getting any extra income and they'd be forced to go and do some proper policing like catching cyclists with no lights on

The fine and to a lesser degree, the points don't bother me much, it's the 5 years of higher insurance premiums that p1sses me off, plus, the sneaky way they nab you, hiding round corners, and halfway down hills, where even if you take your foot off the gas, you'll still pick up speed. I didn't buy a car to drive with the brakes on for Christs sake.

Anyway, do you still get done if the front of their car is pointing at you as you drive towards it?? I know they have the radars in the backs usually, do they have them in the fronts too?? It wasn't one of them white vans, it was an estate car. Clutching at straws here, I know.

It had big digital displays on the roof of the car showing speeds, and that stupid speed camera sign on the side. I'm annoyed at myself for not noticing the displays as much as if I've been nabbed.

Swine was hiding next to the bushes, just near a bus stop. Had to be a radar car.
