As per the title really.
Had a discussion about this with a friend today and subsequently the bf got an earbashing (lol).
Some people play football every night and some people spend every night sat on a computer. How much is too much?
I used to go Windsurfing every weekend and one afternoon/evening in the week. I think thats alright.
Opinions plz.
(and the ppl who only want to type 'ohh boring thread can s*d off)
Thank you

At least you know where your man is, (football, golf outings and subaru track days, usually mean another woman).
Awaits paranoia and analysation of above statement.

most people just sit in front of the telly if they don't sit in front of a computer - what's the difference? as for me - i'm out there playing sport, getting fit, losing weight, eyeing up other women; as you can see

I'm not going to respond to the digs on here in any sort of come back due to not making this a public issue ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Hopefully though the blokes here will show/prove that what I do is perfectly acceptable in other relationships and they don't have to concentrate 100% of their spare time on their partners and are actually allowed to do things they enjoy!

My wife is tolerant of my computer time as she realises that SN & the other places I visit, are a source of pleasure, information, friendships etc for me.
We also have little in common hobbywise & I'm buggered if I'm watching some stupid costume drama on TV if I don't want to.

you have to have a balance. i wouldn't last 5 minutes with someone who wanted to be doing things together the whole fookin time. i like to do stuff by myself. i don't like watching soap operas, which she does. OTOH, there are plenty of things that we both like to do, and we still manage to find time for these. is this your own insecurity making itself felt?

Me and BeetleBabe have a pc each and when she's doing her uni work etc I play on my pc all nite, and when i am doing a website or something she is on the pc all nite.
Doesn't cost much and does no harm.

Think yourself lucky hes at home on the computer
Im sure you would moan if he stopped going on the computer and went out with his mates every nite
And what the hell is 'acting like a single bloke?'
Hes home with you isnt he> (as he must be unless hes on a laptop when hes out)?
Hardly out riding the local bikes every night

My girlfriend and I don't spend a huge amount of time together during the week (I am play PC or am mucking around with gadgets and she watches TV, goes on internet (we have 2 pc's
, etc.) . We also both see our family regularly. But we spend all weekend together. I still hate shopping though
It’s all about compromise. Just because Bravo is happy and you are not does that mean he should stop what he is doing to please you? No, because then he will not be happy and vice-versa. It’s up to you both to come to a compromise. You have to find common ground. Find a hobby together etc.
Girlie and I share a few things that we both like doing but mostly she does what makes her happy and I'll do what makes me happy. Then we are both happy![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
And John, you are correct, miss Scoobynet for a day and you are miles behind and it takes ages to catch up![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You do exactly what you want when you want no matter what my thoughts are however you will go out of your way to make it an issue every time I go anywhere near my pc.
Just to add here guys the important factor is that currently where we live is very small. My computer desk is in the lounge and the armchair is right next to the desk. There is no sofa due to lack of room. So lady muck sits in the arm chair and I either have a choice of sitting on the floor or at my computer desk. Where the hell would you choose from those options??? No choice for me really. I eat my dinner at my desk and I sit and watch telly at my desk unless we sit on the floor together. Its not as though I am in a different room and we never see each other - we are sitting right next to each other the whole time. Its purely a case of I am not allowed to do anything that doesn't revolve around her 100% or involve me enjoying myself
Everytime I start up a game on the pc for example its like I have committed the worst crime on the face of the planet. If I wasn't playing a game all i'd be doing is watching the telly and being bored stupid with the absolute **** thats on 99% of the time ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
As for going out neither of us can afford it at the moment so thats a no brainer so staying in is through necessity rather than preference.
I had to reply just to clear a few points up![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Oh and the things that I have given up since we have been together are:
not been fishing once - my favourite relaxing past time with mates getting p!ssed out in the countryside camping with bbq's and crates of beer!
xbox/ps2 only when my son is staying over - hence not been seen on PGR2 since the first time I played it![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
motorbike only gets used for commuting now as opposed to weekend blasts to the coast and meets etc
smoking
beer - severely cut down consumption
seeing mates after work in London for p!ss ups
Thats just what I can think of for now
So not exactly like I have just continued how I used to be with spending my time. I have given up the above to keep her indoors happy yet it obviously doesn't seem enough!

What a surprise! ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
