Speeding, 73 in a 50
Friend (honest!) has picked up a NIP from Bedfordshires finest.
What's a good website to bone up? He just wants to know if he's likely to recieve an offer of £60 + 3 points after he's signed and returned, or if it's straight to court. If it's definite court what kinda penalties is he looking at?

I am currently fighting a NIP (48 in a 40). I have been following the advice on Speed Trap Bible and UK Speed Trag Guide.
Also I have had some very good advice from a guy called Adrian Shurmer - ex Lancashire Traffic Cop. 73 in a 50 is below the level for an automatic summons, but it is pretty close. The lesser offences might be easier to fight. I'm not sure if they would be prepared to let this one go.
Drop me an email and I can forward on the letters Adrian sent to me with his advice.

...this guy would much rather take £60 and 3 points now than have a possible more serious conviction hanging over him for months/years whilst the non-signing thing continues through the courts...I've given him the speedtrap links
