Yes. In 1989, for my legal philosophy class. Philistine!

Greatly enjoyed it, but I can never remember the 2nd half as he descends into madness. I'll have to dig it out again.

Yes I have read it several times. My favourite book by a long long way. I love the way he explains the mentality of the bmw bike rider to the harley rider

I love the bit where the BMW guy tries to kick up his motorcycle when it's hot with the choke full on until he's almost dead and crying with frustration because he's too scared of understanding the technology- because he can't just "groove" on it. Classic.

The bike that Pirsig rode was a Honda CB77, fact fans ... me dad had one of those. Great bike

i read about 2/3rds of it (many years ago - when i was pretending to be an intellectual ) but started losing interest, and shortly after that lost the actual book too, so never got round to reading the last bit.

Wish I knew where my old copy of that is LOL... Not that it would help much with a scoob
