Uuugghh!! - should be taxed twice as heavily, yuk

RE: £4.50 for B&H, have to add that thats pretty much the cheapest I have come accross, at the supermarket. Usually a bit more at petrol stations IIRC. Probably more like £4.70+.

unless you have some kind of rare life-threatening illness that can only be cured by driving, you do NOT HAVE to drive.

you made a lifestyle choice to live and work in places you can't walk to.

your "need" to drive is no different from the people on here's "need" to drink/smoke/etc. its NOT a need - it's a choice.

Well, I don't smoke, and I bring ALL my drink back fronm France where the average price for a bottle of decent wine is £3, and Kronenbourg 1664 at 5.9% (not the p*ss weak English stuff) is about 30p a bottle.

I'd still like to see someone kill Gordon Brown though!

"Budget not bad"?!!

According to the BBC's Budget calculator, petrol has gone up 4p/litre!

Though I can't find any reference to it in the highlights. Maybe it's a mistake (fat chance!).

Yep of to France next week for me to attempt to wreck the Mondeo's suspension with nice dirt cheap booze.

Morrison's do some good deals though, as does the local offy. But I suspect he buys much of his stock from France......
