Seen it all now. Pottering through one of Nottingham's many SPECS zone (mostly straight dual carriageway) at a steady 39 mph (in a 40mph zone) and I see this rep-mobile comin tearing up the outside lane, as he approaches the first SPECS he brakes, as soon as he is past, foot flat to the floor, passes me at about 60 mph, gets to just before the next SPECS, brakes go on, trundles past and then foot flat down again as he passes it. Do these people not realise these things work on average speed over a measured distance. Would love to see his face when the NIP arrives "but I was only doing 40 past the scameras"

I apparently went through the M6 Thelwell Viaduct set (dont recall seeing them) 2 weeks ago, must of been a good boy cos no NIP yet.

Oh yes, Nottingham were the first to get them, all due to a drunk driver killing a kid, like SPECS will make a difference for those issues!! I know of at least 3 sets near where I work, come up on Road Angel and also TomTom Check Point. Also checked the SPECS site and also Speed Camera web site for what they look like. Very obvious, not like any other cameras.

Are they the ones on the A46 near East Bridgford? I think that they may be waiting to come down now becuase of problems with number of accidents per year or something...not enough to warrant them, but I suppose that's never stopped the government before
