Thumbs up The Budget!

Well, what a superb government this is!

Lowest Interest rates in decades

Lowest unemployment in decades

Lowest inflation in decades

We are all so much better off than we ever were! Hospitals being built schools producing the next scientists!

Have we EVER had it sooooooo good?

I honestly cannot remember when it was THIS good for everyone!?

Lets look forward with hope to another 12 years of Mr Blair and New Labour!

Brilliant stuff - keep it up!

Pete

Pete,

I know it's old ground but it's not lowest unemployment in ages, that's what they want you to believe. It's lowest number of people claiming job seekers allowance.

Having been through that hoop recently, it stops after six months, so according to them I was no longer unemployed when actually I still was

But not any more

It's not going to last though.
Record consumer debt, spiralling government debt.

We have had the boom, and we all know what happens next.

The problem is that they have made all this by increasing our borrowing to £37,500,000,000. Everyone has a credit limit, even a country. There will come a point when money will have to be raised another way. Because this is a political budget with no real tax rises now, after the next election...

Wink

Another quality thread, Pete.

Make the most of the rest of their tenure because they will be out of office at the next election. Blair and his army of PR obsessed lackies have spun themselves into extinction.

Cheers Kav

I would have thought someone with your money pslewis would want high interest rates.

Low interest rates are only good for people who owe money. I remember getting 13% interest on my savings once.

Absolutely brillient!
