Default Fraudulent Paypal E-mails

Got one 2 days ago. Had read a thread on here about them, so sent it on to Paypal. Said my account was going to be closed and I needed to send all my details in reply.

Just got a mail back, Paypal said they definitely didn't send it (which I'd twigged by now), and they're investigating further.

Had I not been made aware of this scam on SN, who knows what could have happened??

I'd like to know how the scammers knew I had a Paypal account. The only people that know (to my knowledge) are Paypal, 1 of my mates, and 4 people I've bought stuff off (3 on e-bay, 1 elsewhere, no accusations intended btw). I've never ever sold anything on e-bay, so people can't know I've got Paypal enabled.

People beware!!!

Andy.

The scammers don't know you have an account. Loads of people get that email whether they have one or not. You're OK as long as you don't actually send your details back.
