<rant mode on>traffic control is out of control. there is more and more lights springing up everywhere and they are being designed with 2 lanes merging into one.
im ususally in a transit but drive quite quick in that so how come when i pull up at lights everyone wants to beat me to the end even old people.

they accelerate as hard as they can then they slow down to 30mph, and since im in the van i cant get past them, and they end up driving slower than if they had let me past them

but when im in the car its a different matter people tend to pull away normally as they know they cant beat the car, why cant people be sensible like this all the time <rant mode off>

 

nobody likes being stuck behind a van mate.

...i know what you mean. I drive a couple of transits.
However, when i'm in my old, beat up, dented and somewhat rusty old faithful now with 302,000 on the clock!!....other folk strangely seem to keep well away from me..
It's a matter of who will flinch first...the shiney m3 or the rusty heap?

It p1sses me off when you get a single white van in the inside lane then a stream of about 10 cars with old knobbers sat in the outside lane. I always just pull up behind the van and then pull out as soon as theres space. 8/10 times the van will fly off the line and leave the cars standing allowing you to get infront of everyone anyway!
