Used to be well into gaming but recently I have lost interest big style, have and Xbox, PS2 and a pc but cannot be arsed gaming any more, the kids are grateful of this fact but I cant understand why I have just lost interest ?
Anybody else gone this way ?
Whens GT4 out by the way, that may renew my enthusiasm.

I've felt the same recently. Perhaps it was because last year was so bad for gaming. I think Generals / Zero hour was the only good one to come out. This year will be far better, though. Pandora tomorrow; Far cry; HL2; S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Doom are all on my list.

Hello
You are just getting old! I feel the same way about games as well these days.
Having said that, I downloaded an Atari 800 emulator for my X-Box and spent a happy time playing Miner 2049r and Shamus!
Steve.

Single player games are all pretty much boring now; the only ones really worth playing are online where at least there is the challenge of the unpredictable human element. As said earlier Far Cry is pretty decent for both challenging A1 and next gen GFX. If you have a DX9 card its almost revolutionary for visuals, spectacular in parts even. I find games pretty much a winter distraction, especially in Scotland but always intersperse them with hobbies and outdoor activities just to keep fit and sociable

Maybe I am getting old (33), I think its a case of been there done that but also my time is too precious to waste playing games and with my job (Oracle DBA) I spend all day on a computer solving puzzles (of sorts) so its hardly a rest.
I cant concentrate on games like I used to, I had the time to devote to them and wasnt worried about keeping the house maintained, cars maintained, kids fed, Hamster exercised, Dog walked, Oracle learnt, body exercised, missus attended to (ahem) etc etc, all that mattered was the game (and the odd Tommy Tank)
