Radar detectors - Your views please?
Can anyone give some advise on the best make of radar detector to go for? I am currently deciding between a RoadAngel, Origin B4 and Snooper S6r.
Anyone have any particular model they think is best?
Any recomendations on suppliers (seem quite cheap on Radar Girl)
Cheers

currently thinking the same thing myself. Origin B2 seems to be one of the best spec's in my view and appears to be a compact, neat unit.
Currently there are a few Origin B2's on e-bay at £329

Its the neatest looking unit, and origin have the most up to date database, slightly better than snooper.

just bought the snooper s6neo
only had it 2 day but first impressions are good, takes 3/4 min to switch on and register, does get quite a few false bleeps when you look for radar but I think they are all the same - I switch radar off (keep lazer and gps on)
best bit is I payed £290 from costco other wise I probably would have got a road angle

I have a Road Angel and it seems to be very good not too obtrusive, and even better with an LRC100 coupled to it, with all of these units by the time the laser detector picks anything up its often too late.

I have the Bell Vector , had it for 5 years now.
Expensive at the time circa AUS$800 , but has paid for itself several fold.
On a highway detects before oncoming cops with radar are obvious!
Multinova always detectable in time to slow down.
Laser -unfortunately too late once detected.

Radar Detectors
Ok there are a number of types of Radar Detectors
1. GPS
2. Detectors
3. Diffusers
GPS uses technology to locate your position and warn you of cameras.
Detectors Pick up on the frequency given off by police radar / laser and gatso cameras
Diffusers These jam police radar and laser guns but are illegal to use
My advice is to go for a mixture, such as the Snooper S4, Road Angel or origin B2. These models have a variety of safety features and even warn you when you go past a school.
