My local Subaru tried to charge me €70 for some plastic centre caps for my alloys.
Unfortunately it wasn't an April fools.
So no, I haven't.

GMTV did a story on Yorkshire Water developing a weight-loss version of tap water. Apparently it has negatively charged ions that attach to your positive fat cells, which then come out when you have a p!ss.
They did a live broadcast from someones house where they had a 3rd tap fitted which supplied the special water, a so-called 'scientist' from Yourkshire Water explaining how they developed it and a nutritionalist in the studio.
They played it well but I knew straight away this was utter bollox lol.

Radio 2 had a news item that an announcement from Paris and Berlin might come out this afternoon. As the French and German economies had been performing badly recently, they had decided that the Euro was an experiement that had failed and had decided to withdraw. They wanted to adopt the Pound as their new currency.

Chappy asking about his Open Source Missle Guidance project. Macintouch's front page is some dating site, things like "geek" looking for "geek" searches

That one is actually true!

Did you also know that racing pigeons were used in UK missiles during the 2nd world war. They were apparently good at operating some kind of rudimentary guidance system. No doubt that'll appear next year and you'll not believe that either, but it is TRUE!

I manage a restaurant and bar. When the veg delivery came this morning the delivery driver told me that they'd had an early visit from a young plumber from one of the local companies who'd been sent over to look for a leak (leek!).

I swapped the "m" and "n" keys round on someone's keyboard, then swapped the "m" and "n" letters round in a couple of common fonts. He was well puzzled as to why things looked right on the screen, but were being flagged as spelling mistakes in word
