the national is always a hard race to predict as most of the nags tend to fall over. i've been on the winning horse twice (ever!). one of them was red maurader, who was the only horse to finish that year. oh how i pmsl when that came in, considering it would have been beaten by a donkey off brighton beach under normal conditions.
