I've been using the 'DarkStar' nickname for years without coming across another one until I registered on this forum. Hence the '66' on the end.
I'm not complaining about it but just wondered if the other DarkStar had taken the name from the John Carpenter film as well?

I stand by my original assertion. The DVD version of the film "Dark Star" by John Carpenter and Dan O'Bannon (which I have) is virtually unwatchable. I was just letting you know that someone else knows what you're on about.

This is a long forgotten classic and i think the writers of Red dwarf owe a huge debt to it.
Damn shame the DVD isnt up to scratch.
The orange beachball alien in the lift is hilarious![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Sorry, the firewall at work won't let me open that link, I'll have to try it at home.
I haven't seen it for ages, I'd like to get it on DVD. So why is it almost unwatchable?

It's desperately in need of a re-master.

Unfortunately, the members list is disabled so you can't look there.
If you use the search function and search by poster for 'Darkstar,' it doesn't come up with a match.
If you do a search for 'tel' you get this. Been a while since he's posted though.
Dave.
