Hi,

I have a property that is one of 3 flats contained in a Freehold.
I have never paid for (or been asked to pay for) maintenance etc. The property has found its way into disrepair due to a leaky roof and other issues.
It now pans out that the freeholder has not been paying the Building Insurance etc that we need to claim on. I am speaking to the other flat owner that is affected.

I really need some advice on how to move this forward, we have tried to contact the freeholder for ages now with no joy and feel as if the Legal route is only one left.

Any advice on a Lawyer or type of lawyer to look at this, or any other general advice.

Can you find the solicitor who did the conveyancing for you when you bought the flat?

FB, i have used this guy in the past and he is a proper tool, ended up paying £200 for letters back and forth with nothing being done.
