Panasonic X70
Does anybody have one of these and if so is it any good. Orange are offering it as a free upgrade from my nokia 6100 and im wondering if its worth accepting?

Just got one for my girlfriend. Very nice phone. The screen is excellent and it does all the normal phoney things very well. Menus are all graphical and easy to navigate. The Bluetooth is set up well and it is easy to connect to my ipaq and laptop. I use a P800 and am considering changing to an X70 myself. Can't really fault the phone it does everything very well.

Terrible battery life though. I had a 6310 before and it went for 2 weeks on one charge with the phone being used daily, I get 1-3 days from the X70. I think the software is bad compared to Nokia, for example if you do a text the delete button is above the exit button and if u hit exit it doesnt save what you have put in when you go back to do the text you have to start again. Nokia kept it in memory and is much better.
The phone itself is small and compact and the screen is very good and does have some very good points as well as the bad I have pointed out. My main bug bear with it really is the poor battery life. I am waiting for Orange to introduce dual sims so I can have both phones working and use my 6310 for work and the X70 at home.
I got the mrs one as well and its exactly the same so not like I have had a dodgy battery or anything just think it has some major improvemnets needed to be as good as Nokia on the software/battery front.
