Bookshelf speakers advice please
I'm buying a TEAC Reference 300 system and was looking at (or should that be listening to) speakers to go with it.
Two seem to stand out - KEF Cresta 10 and MISSION M31 - both seem to suit my requirements, but not yet having listened to the two sets, does anyone have any advice or opinions on them, or are there others in that price range I should perhaps consider ?
I'm obviously not after massive volume, just nice tight sound, strong bass with plenty of detail. Listen to most types of music through dance/club right through to rock/metal - although no jazz
If anyone has a TEAC Ref 300, what speakers are you using with it...?
Cheers
Gareth

Well, the real clue is in your first sentence - 'listening to' should be top of your to-do list!
FWIW, though, Dynaudio have some pretty special small speakers - they have an exceptionally clean and detailed sound with good bass extension, although I found them a bit too clinical for some types of music and ended up going with Monitor Audio instead. Both makes are well worth a listen IMHO.

Thanks for the advice...it was really to have a starting point or short list of speakers to audition, but its also a case of some real world advice rather than dealers chat.
I'm not after the ultimate in hifi, I'm not that serious about the setup - just want a good sounding, good looking, simple setup which the Teac seems to offer.
