I've just GOT to get me some of these!!
Tonight, going to the gym, a 206 (all RoyBacered up) arrived - and stopped - at the junction to wait for me to pass ....
But guess what??
The centre of his wheels just kept on turning!!!! Looked bl00dy weird!
Anyone seen anything like it before???
Pete

Saw some the other week on an old Nissan Bluebird. Was the ultimate in naff, even surpasses undercar and washer jet neons.

so you´re driving along with your arm out the window, layed back barely able to see over the dash as you have your seats lowered,. your neons are on and the base is annoying small dogs miles away... one of these crapola pieces of junk comes off and rolls down the street... it is just like throwing one of these:
only MUCH MUCH bigger!
Why oh why do people love this stuff??
And what sort of word is "bling" anyhow??

Surely the gyroscopic effect of these things spinning would have a detremental effect on the steering of the car.
at road spead they will spin the same but when the car slows or stops they are still spinning at 70mph so the car slows to 30 or 20 to turn the wheels are spinning at 20 the disks at 70 surely this would throw out the balance of the wheel.
also what would happen if the bearing broke?? then the spinning disk will not be running true and could end up hitting the wheel hub either resulting in the disk exploding in a shower of metal shards or the thing bending outwards or even slicing through the alloy wheel.
or am I reading to much into this ???
Also has anyone ever seen a hub cap come off at motorway speed and seen how far it flies??? or even a tyre blowing out sending rubber accross the whole motorway.

They like it because they're sad muppets that try to dress up old rust boxes. They think a smattering of tack will disguise the fact they are 'cruising' around in a grannies hand me downs.

I've seen some crap car 'accesories' in my time but these are well cheesy.
I've seen them before but I see from the website you can buy hub cap ones for £50.
