Jessops are doing Internet price matching - as long as you have a printoff of the price with a UK phone number.
Was looking at the Canon Ixus 500, Jessops price £398 - Internet £281!!
Jackpot!

They have had it on offer but don't honour it. I bought a Fuji s7000 a couple of weeks back, showed the rep in Jessops 10 or 15 special web deals and he said point blank they don't price match web shops.
I gave him a wave from across the road though whilst buying it from Wildings

I bought my Canon 300D form them and they matched the lowest web price no problem.
Guess some of the staff haven't a clue, same in all businesses.

They definately do honour it. You need to speak to the manager though. As I mentioned they will not match all internet sites, but they phone their head office, do a check and then they match it.
I got over £100 off of the Jessops price for a Canon Ixus 400.
Steve.

When I went in they wouldn't have any of it. I did ask to speak to the manager as I'd seen it advertised. I think I just ended up with a complete tw.. behind the counter.
It didn't really bother me that much though, in Manchester Wildings is facing Jessops on the other side of Deansgate. The sales guy saw me walk out of Wildings with the camera 10 minutes later. Gave him a quick wave They matched the price for me no problem, even gave me a free tripod

7dayshop are doing the Fuji S5000 for £189.99 delivered - will be interesting to find out if Jessops/Wildings will price match that!

I asked around at Jessops regarding price matching when I was looking to purchase(about 2 months ago now) and was told they would match any UK based store/website. So I went to my local store handed over proof that EBuyer were selling the Nikon CoolPix 5700 for £540, and was told (following the manager making a phone call to check what they were allowed to do)that they could only offer the instore price of £599, saying that it was discounted enough already. I had a small 'conversation' with him to determine what constituted price matching only to be told 'its up to head office to sort that out, not me'.
I left Jessops walked 2 mins down the road to The London Camera Exchange, asked the guy in the shop about price matching web sites, he replied that he wasnt sure and he'll have to check with someone, he took my ebuyer proof and disappeared for a few mins, come back and said that they couldn't match it by two pounds .
Needless to say I bought the camera there and then.
