Default Le mans help needed!

Hi all,
Me and a mate have managed to wangle time off work to allow us to go to le mans this june. Trouble is having had a brief look round the web it seems everything seems to be booked or v limited. Thought i'd ask on here to see if anyones been before and can give me any gems of info/contacts etc.

Ideally we want to camp, probably arriving on the thursday and leaving on the monday. Any help or advice from those who've been will be much much appreciated. Thanks for any assistance.

Cheers
Ritchie.

I booked about 8 months ago! We are camping in the Bugatti Loop.

I have 1 spare general admin ticket if you want?

I did have a spare grandstand too but that was snapped up in about 10 seconds

I am going Tuesday night to get there early AM Wed.

prob too late now - we book as soon as the tickets are available in about november time - via Page & Moy

This year 10 Cars to Houx Annexxe. 2 Boxsters, WRX, 330D, 325 Ci, 735i, M3, TT, Cooper S, Fiat Coupe Turbo.

Bit too germanic for my liking but still a cracking convoy :-D

Ok to get to Le-Mans you need a ferry ticket, and there was a thread on this recently. Cheapest route likely to be Folkestone-Boulonge and thik the company was FasterFerries.co.uk, but search and you'll find. The other operator with cheap space is likely to be Transmanche Ferries from Newhaven to Dieppe. You may get cheap tickets from the other operators that weekend, but look now, as they ill be getting booked up!

You'll also need a camping ticket, they are still fairly plentiful, might be worth giving the ACO a call, but they will probably have sold out, or the Le Mans Tourist Office, again possibly sold out. Have a look on other websites, especially www.clubarnage.com, a whole feast of information plus an area to buy and sell tickets at cost price only! (well reasonable postage costs added).

On the day you will need general admission tickets, and they are available on the day, and are cheaper on the day. However generally people booking camping book general adminsion tickets at the same time but are likely to only sell as a package. However at face value they are a lot less than a ticket agency.

If all else fails look on ebay or any ticket agency such as Just Tickets, age and Moy, MRI but you will have to pay their mark up.
