laser test
Does anyone know where i can get my lrc 100 jammer tested hopefully in south east area.
On sunday i came across a speedtrap in laindon, a type of camera on a stand with a square box on the side of the cam. My bel 550 never went off so no radar but also my lrc was silent as it as been since fitting 2 months ago.
The camera was aiming directly at oncoming traffic coming down hill.
Luckily i was doing 30mph.
Anyone know of a tester & what sort of cam it was?
dave.

look down the left pane under jammer test.

For a quick test the device can be triggered with a tv remote and the LEDs can be seen firing by observing through a digi camera. This works with my Snooper sld920 but not sure about the LRC100.

I mailed the manufacturer remote controls will NOT test the lrc 100, as its a different spectrum of light.
the laser poniters that are banned in the uk will though so if you know anyone who bought one a few years back try that.

Davek,
Im pretty sure those nes point at the back of the car, so unless you have a rear facing jammer, you're stuffed.... Only detects once you're past it, with a narrow band no doubt.

Got e-mail back from steve at ukspeedtraps, he said he does testing on 1 weekend a month in burton on trent. It's £40 but will do group discount.
Maybe an alton towers cruise could be incorperated.
As for the camera he said The box system may have been working from strips in the road such as ds2.
Now thats not playing fair.

Well last weeks test was cancelled as it was p1ssing down and they dont read properly in the rain , went on saturday instead , I was a bit worried that it isn't working as I've had mine on for a while and not heard a squeek out of it , tried remote controls , camera flashes ect , so met up with the chap , drove off down the road to the roundabout turned around and headed back , as soon as I came round the corner a quick flash () to let him know its me (2000ft away) and bingo , its beeping and flashing its t1ts off , went up and down the road a few times and he found that there were some area's like the top corner of the screen that he could get a reading , so a quick adjustment on the sensor and off again to check , he was very happy with the set up as when it was armed he couldn't get any readings , and so am I , a very happy bunny ,
At least now if I am driving a bit quick and suddenly come into sight of one of these camera's ( which is an everyday occurence in Wales) at least I have some protection , I am thinking of fitting one to the back now.
The tester did say that a sensor is coming out soon to fit on your wall to activate an outside light , so at least you can have a reason to have it fitted
