I'm going to be spending a large proportion of the summer working in Nottingham, so I'm looking for recommendations on a good gym to join.
Obviously as I won't be there for a whole year I'd rather avoid having to take out a years memebership.

Anyone got any suggestions?

David Loydd I`ve heard is very good and has all facilities.

Im a student there most of the year and use virgin gym in the Corner house complex. Cheap gym in comparision to david loyds, very clean, good weights, good staff but has alot of students Im pay £28/month under student rates, normally mid £30's/month. Have a look around, it is good gym.

not that im in nottingham... but it might be useful if u give your interpretation of a good gym. to some its lots of treadmills.. to others its heavy weights and a conans wheel it'd suck if u got heaps of recommendations to the wrong type of gym that you're looking for.

I've had a look around Hoofers but it felt claustrophobic. Everything seemed cramped together.

I basically want somewhere that I can do a routine containing:

Free weights, bench/machine weights for muscle growth and toning, a good cardio workout - rowing, running, cross-training etc, and a selection of Ab benches. A pool would be nice too. I'm not bothered about things like tanning booths
