I am looking in to having a wedding in Austrailia or New Zealand. (not imminently) Just researching things atm and wondered if there was anyone out there who has experience of it.
Any help appreciated (other than telling me not to get married )

Just about to do a very similar thing. I am booked to get married in Mauritius in December with hneymoon in Auz.

Done the whole lot through a company called kuoni (well via our travel agents) and they have been absolutely excellent so far. Shop around for prices though as we found a company through a yahoo search that does 5% off any kuoni holiday package.

Basically you get sent a wedding pack with loads of forms to fill in and a list of things to send back (passport copy/ birth cert, etc) and a list of preferred dates. They then reply and give you a date. Once in resort they have a wedding co-ordinator who works for kuoni who will do all the final bits.

So far it seems that easy, I know someone who did the same thing a year ago and it was that easy.

We fly to Kenya on July 17th to get married on the beach

Was all sorted via the travel agent and the holiday company.

Various wedding packages seem to be offered these days depending upon where you are going and what you want it to include.....

All of the companies we looked through....Thompson, Kuoni etc all offer this for differeing costs.

As Kev says you complete some paperwork, decide on the date for the happy day, wait for it to be confirmed.....ours still is not ! and then when you arrive let the local wedding co-ordinator co-ordinate !

i'll tell u how it went after we fly home (hopefully!!) married in early Aug !
