Alien on c5 tonite - Whats your fave of the Aliens film
Mine would be the second film - 'Aliens' and the directors cut of it.
IMHO the best si-fi film of all time altough the first one is pretty damn good and scared me sh*tless when i saw it in the cinema.

Awesome film(s).
I have to agree the aliens dc was the best.
Such a good film made so long ago without cgi and Ill still watch it every time.
have nightmares sometimes when Ive had a little to much of certain substances.Im usually trying to get the ******* loader to work but its too slow so the bitch gets me.
Cant beleive theres others out there who like this film so much.
So this is what it feels like when doves cry.(millhouse in simpsons)

Aliens is certainly the most fun and action packed, but for it's time, the 1st was superb. People are often quick to dismiss 3, but I like it's simplicity which is remenicent of the 1st. Don't mention Resurrection

Aliens for me every time, watch it on the home cinema system and watch the sub shake across the floor upon lift-off!!

Oooh - I'm going to be controversial here then, I guess 
My fave was Alien, then Alien3 THEN Aliens (Which I still think is a cracking film). I liked the sheer horror of Alien which I don't think Aliens captured and the darkness of Alien3 - especially when the inmates realise that they're done for - it had a nice twist of humour in places too...

Best is Aliens for sure. Alien 3 has about 30 mins cut out of it and has still to be put back in where they actually capture it but Paul McGann lets it out whilst going nuts. A mate had a pre-edit version for reasons I've forgotten. Plagued by problems and re-writes from the get go.
Also Aliens DC has bits missing still too. When Ripley goes to find Newt just before she meets the Queen she finds Burke cacooned and gives him a grenade. IIRC this was only included in the Laser Disc version.
Aliens Vs Predator - oh how I hope its not a bag o' Sh$te. The director (forget his name) also did Event Horizon which is very good but he also did Resident Evil and I believe shock horror mortal combat so who knows what the outcome will be. Hopefully it won't be cut to smitherines to get a 12 rating!!!

Alien is the scariest film I ever saw and I still watch it from time to time. But you never really get the same atmosphere the second and subsequent times because you know what's going to happen.
Aliens on the other hand you can watch over and over again (well I can).
Now..... How do I get out of this chicken**** outfit?

Alien for me without question I was twelve when I first saw John Hurt's indigestion attack, and even though I've seen it countless times in the following 21 years it has embedded a shock in me that no suspense/horror film has managed before or since
Not to take anything away from Aliens, it's just a different type of movie, and IMO no CGI film has yet matched it's visual effects.

Aliens for me.
Remeber watching some of alien at my uncles when I was at junior school. Didnt have a clue what the film was but my subsequent reenactment of the chect popping scene saw me thrown out of the school lunch hall by a rather shocked dinner lady.

The Alien 3 DC is so much better than the general release of Alien 3. The DC of Alien is also very nice as the pitcure quality is fantastic and it also has a nice DD5.1 soundtrack. Also Reddurection is not that bad.

Has it got the capture sequence?
You can spot it easily. IIRC Paul McGann is in medical at the time when they are setting the trap and the blast doors are open. It all goes wrong and people start dying. When the sequence finishes they are stood in front of open blast doors over the body of Paul Mcgann but they don't actually say its him (well his character anyway).
Might not be quite like that but its the doors that give it away.
