On the whole they're a waste of time, but in the case of Suhail it was funny watching people being reeled in inch by inch and seemingly still not realising they were being done up like a kipper.

Impossible to categorise under one umbrella.
The straight-talkers, such as NACRO, could be a breath of fresh air and quite amusing on occasion.
The intentionally offensive, such as basal_lobe and Prince Popeye, should be vaped first and questions asked later, imo.

I'm not so sure about the quality of recent trolling I've read on here but I rarely bother responding to them myself, although I tend to find their comments and others responses to those comments rather amusing.

I made a press with legos to make to AP putty, (AP is real unstable) anyway I left the room and the AP detonated blowing up the press and I got nailed by a large piece of lego plastic and had to pull it out of arm ..

Can moderators see (from their IP address?) all the different aliases that people have? I for one would be fascinated to see a list of all these people who post under several usernames. If someone gets banned, do all their other aliases get banned also?

Vbulletin allows you to search on a per user basis for other usernames that have posted with the same IP address. Obviously this only works for fixed IP addresses and for users who have posted. They then have a choice to ban each of the user accounts or ban by IP address then any users from that IP address are banned.
I wouldn't be surprised if IP addresses are not available from messages posted before the change to vBulletin however (although I don't know muchabout the previous software).
The ability do view online users' IP addresses, IP addresses used to post a message and to search for other users on the same IP address are controlled on a per user basis. So the mods may or may not be able to do either of these depending on whether Shaun/Simon has set it up to allow them to (read trust them to

Define trolling.
There has been some amazingly funny trolling in the last few years, but also quite boring ones.
As long as the fishing line is reeled in with a bit of humour, I have nothing against it

Harmless fun provided we're all allowed to play when we realise trolling is happening. Warnings from the WebMaster to keep things on track whilst responding to a Troll might upset some of the Regular (and paying) members.

A sophisticated, well researched troll can breathe much needed life into slumbering bulletin boards, turning soporific posters into turbo-charged Ian Paisleys with just a few carefully chosen posts.

Trolling is harmless until it becomes offensive. ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Nothing wrong with a bit of banter and it certainly livens the place up.

You really need a posting pattern analyser to stand any chance of making an informed decision and at the end of the day is it worth it ? I doubt it.
