Just passed over Staines. Half the shops have no power, most of the roads are flooded and Woolies closed as it was raining inside!
I got stranded in MVC and got Season 3 West Wing on DVD and The Very Best of Chris Rea for £4.99 - oh and a free bag of Black Jacks and Fruit salad - so not all bad!

All quiet in Guildford atm. I'm on the bike today as well. Fingers crossed for the journey home. I do *not* like riding in the wet - takes ages to clean the bike afterwards.

Over here in the "old world" we've had some warnings about serious thunderstorms reaching us this evening.
Mind you, these can be very very "local". One village may be totally inundated while the next one hardly sees a drop or lightning.

Woking is very overcast and we've had a few claps of thunder in the last 2 hours. A bit of rain at about 2pm but apart from that it seems ok. Praying it doesnt hoof it down at 5.30 as I'm on the bike and forgot my wet weater gear, Doh!!!

For all the money London generates, they could not even paint the Zebra crossing straight! A little amatuer if I do say so myself.

Areas Worst Affected : Southern Midlands.
For some reason I perticularly like the term "self-feeding"....
Areas Worst Affected : Southern Midlands.
A row of a family of thunderstorms are now in self-feeding mode running North in a line from Bristol across to London and are expected to move Northwards.
Exceptional downpours, lightning, thunder and flash flooding are all possible in areas affected by this band in the next 2 hours.
