Someone recommend I should start to listen to this band, has anyone heard of them?
I have a suspicion that his real interest lies in the interesting looking lead singer:

Have all the albums ..... if you do a search on Hope Sandoval or look here you 'll get more info on the lead singer .. she isnae really that bonny 
Would describe them as a mix between Velvet Underground meets The Sundays. Some fantastic songs 'Fade Into You' etc .. would recommend you buy So Tonight That I Might See first and try it ...

Kind of depressing stuff that I like, they supposedly have an Anthology out next year ... now why can't Mojave3 stop arsing around, go back to calling themselves Slowdive and release the stuff I really like

What Doofus said! I have all of her albums but the best introduction would be So Tonight That I Might See. Fade Into You and Blue Light are my favourite songs on there! It's surprising how many times Mazzy Star songs appear on film soundtracks.

I have most their stuff. Quite nice every so often.
Doofus. Love Slowdive and Mojave 3. Both most excellent. Rachel and Neil both have solo albums too as well as the new Mojave3 one. No chance of them going back to Slowdive type stuff though (although Coastline on Rachels album has a kinda slowdive feel about it). I kinda treat them as two separate bands, cos they are muscically. Try Malory for slowdive-esque music, sounds rather good.

Dracoro .. I do have all the Mojave3 albums and generally they are excellent. I know they'll never go back to Slowies style but Just For A Day and Souvlaki are still on my car stereo all the time.
Mojave3 gets a bit toooo country for me sometimes and I can't be assed with the hippy banjo strumming beggars stuff .. just crap
.... I do like Rachel album though.
Will try and get hold of Malory stuff. Probably just harkimg back to my fave musical period when I was listening to Just For A Day, Loveless (MBV), lots of Wedding Present.

Ride, slowdive, Blind Mr Jones, Revolver, Adorable, MBV etc...
