Police Volvo (FM-3 WNG) speeding
Hmmmmm yes i was the guy in the scoobyclinic Subaru, followed u up Wollaton rd tonight 11pm (Beeston) onto A52 towards Bramcote which is a 40 zone, so as this is a 40 zone why were you doing 55 ????? then to make matters worse u got to the traffic lights at the junction of Thorsbey rd, and went straight thru a red light (admittidly it just turned red) but u went thru it anyway and sped off up the A52, and u didn't even have ur blues or two's on, I stopped at the lights, when they turned green i managed to catch u up at the next set which u had stopped at , i glanced over to the pair of you and gave u a big smile , then as the lights turned green again a shot up A52.
Laughing to myself saying should i report you or not ??????
If it were me in front you would have nicked me i bet

They always do that stuff. They use the hard shoulder when there is a jam on the motorway.......
....but, to be fair you would to. I would.

Sooooo. You get general members of the public doing this all the time. Do you report them? If so, then carry on and report them. If not, you need to evaluate what you have a problem with. The police or the driving of someone on the public highways. There's always gonna be police who a bit norty, prolly a minority compared to general drivers doing the same.

The best thing to say (imo) is Police are humans.
General public do the occasional naughty thing as do coppers. A Copper isn't a different breed, just a job.
We're all guilty of things. I sometimes do things considered wrong on the roads but I won't intentionally do it if its dangerous to do so.

Double standards yes.
However, if you were a copper, and couldn't be arsed to stop, you to would flick on the blue lights and go through if all was clear.
I hate stopping at lights when there's nothing for miles around. Boo!!

Police should be setting the example, not making an example imho...
I can always be arsed to stop at lights, just in case, so I would even if I were a "copper" with the power to go through them at the flick of a switch (or not in this case)...
Dazza01, I would report them. And I would also report it if Joe Public did the same thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm with you all the way. However human nature plays a part.
If you report him you'll get nowhere except on a blacklist of grassers. police will always do this so for me, smile, tut, frown then carry on. If you report he'll/she''ll just say they got an urgent call or something. The only people that can bollock him/her are his employers - and that won't happen.
