Default Ebay dodginess?

Stuff ive bid on lately, keep getting outbid then they retract the bid?! When I looked at who was doing it, they only had a couple of feedbacks and were related to the seller in some way. Not sure how it works but by doing that, they can work out your max bid and push it up?

I have complained about it

I think some people do bid on there just to push prices up,
Possibly some users have more than one id?

Thumbs up

Dont know if this helps much, but if you bid regularly and are being outbid at the last minute, get yourself down to www.auctionsniper.com.

Quality website and it does actually work as ive used it a few times. Time your bid 10 seconds before the end of the auction and laugh your little socks off when you snipe the top bid!

just got to hope no one else is using it!!

It's the seller bidding up their items using another login - it's fraud. Don't bid for anything by that seller.

Probably someone finding where you've set your bid limit so they know ehere to set their when they bid at the last minute. May well be the seller - especially if it's the latter stages of the auction and the current price is too low for them to part with the goods.

I never bid till the last minute anyway, unless I had any corresponence with the seller in which case I put in a very low bid limit just to show I am interested and that can be easily outbid if someone trys bumping the price.

It's easy to check. Just look up the 'dodgy' bidder's history on the search option. Do the same for the seller and if you see they have crossed paths at least twice for non-related items then it certainly looks dodgy. However, Ebay won't do anything about it because it could just be a coincidence. The dodgy bidder could just claim they like that particular seller and always watch their auctions!
