Went to see them in the 80's, with bro in law. Paid well high for good frontish seats. When the band started, all the ***** from the rear seats ran down to the front and blocked our view. If we wanted to see we had to stand on the seats. The security came and Fekked us off for standing on the seats, and did nowt about the ones who had run down to the front.
Haven't been to a live band since

I saw them at Wembley Thursday too. Hadn't seen them live since Presto tour (1989/90?) although not sure when they were last in UK. It was superb, 3 hours and there must have been a track from every album since 1974. Would really recommend the Rush in Rio DVD to any one who hasn't seen it.

Sorry Folks, had to reply.
A work colleague of mine is going to see Rush in Glasgow, this Tuesday coming.
Do any of you remember the group called "Pallas"?
This same colleague was their lead singer. And he's a hell of a guy.

I having a bit of a session with 70s rock ATM. The other day I downloaded a couple of Prog Rock Instrumental CDs (out of a series of 10!) with some trepidation. And guess what - they are *blinding* good! After a few beers every track's a winner.

I thought the mix was OK but had to turn down the rear surround channels as the crowd noise was a bit over powering. Bass guitar could have done with some more dbs (turned up the sub, that helped) although the synth bass was fine, much like the live sound in fact.
See they are about to release some more CDs remastered including Presto (1989) and Roll the Bones (1991), two of my favourites after Power Windows.

It has already been remastered but whilst it sounds crisper, nothing can put right a cr*p production job in the first place. Terry Brown just couldn't handle the synths and guitars. In my opinion it took until Power Windows to find a really effective blend of synth and guitar. The Peter Collins/Rupert Hine produced stuff from there onwards is my fave period of Rush (but then I'm more a keyboard player than a guitarist).
