Wink Kendall?

The Station Inn just outside Kendall is brilliant, a very nice friendly 'local' pub, with seperate accomodation which is fantastic. If you want a contact number please reply and i'll get it for you. I have stayed a few times now, and the scoob will be safe!

Depends where you want to stay - the Hydro Hotel in Bowness is nice, £100 a night.

Just got back from a weekend in the lakes - got pissed wet through

The Hydro hotel in Windemere is quite nice..
we hired a cottage in windemere think it was about 300-500 for a week.. was totally fantastic fell in love with it straight away... log fire the works depends how long you want to stay for??? for the price of paying 120 a night you could rent a cottage for a few days?

The Low Wood at Ambleside is always nice on a summers evening- sitting on the balcony watching the boats and skiers as the sun's setting.

We saw David Beckham last time we were there, but don't let that put you off

Low Wood is good - we had a lake view room last time there, but its not cheap and also a bit far out for a bight on the beer - £15 taxi to Bowness, about £10 to Ambleside.

Spice of Bengal for a curry in Ambleside - went there Saturday night, very good.

I can recommend a small privately run hotel in the Hawkshead / Grizedale area if that's not too far south. Wonderfull place - the silence at night is lovely

Can also recommend Lucy 4 in Ambleside for a first class tapas style meal.
