Call BT and report it. They can trace the number even though it's witheld, they probably won't tell you who it is but will be able to block it. I believe they take this sort of thing quite seriously.

Probably one of these fecking annoying autodiallers.
When you do get someone on the other end, I'd put money on English not being the first spoken language........

I had similar prob a while back, phone ringing every 1/2 hour, started at 2am !!!! Had to unplug the phone to get some sleep. Was ok next morning, and never did find out who/what caused it?

Had load of these as well recently, at all hours of the day and night. Called BT to report it and they said there's been a load of complaints recently.
The girl I spoke to said it was definately telesales. Apparently an autodialer just dials through a list of numbers and if there's not one of their guys available to speak to you when you pick up it just hangs up.
Did the tps thing and that sorted it.

Has anyone had the beep calls? It's not a fax, you don't get the usual old modem connection noise, it's just a beep followed by another and so on until you hang on. At any time of the day too.

It can't be anyone we know, because we haven't had the phone in l;ong and only a few people have the number, as we have it ex directory and barred, nobody has it unless we give it them !
I wanted to ask BT if I could get a new number off them, but I wasn't sure if it would mess with my broadband connection
