Default Just spent 1hr 15mins to drive 1 mile.

had to take my car to a painter to get my bumpers resprayed. Now in Belfast our traffic is never really too bad. the motorway is about a mile from my house. left home at 8.15 and got into work at 10.10. Holy ****, how do people do this everyday. i was just like every other lemming. power and speed certainly don't help when you are stuck up someones ar$e for an hour. Now i know this was a one off but and i don't really know what a traffic jam is. anyone else have to sit in traffic for x hours to get to work. Any M25 drivers out there with horror stories.

cheers

you been on the M1 from Lisburn in during rush hour recently. 20 million quid to create an extra lane that doesn't go anywhere.

Sinky,

Ever tried to get through Dublin during rush hour ?

Absolutely mad, I was down there last week, and it took me 1.45 hours to get form the Hotel to the place I was working in. The distance is about 3/4 of a mile at most!
That was on the outskirts of the city centre too!

Cool

You should try Rouen, France at 5pm on a Friday with a convoy of 3 getting lost trying to find the A13 to CenterParcs - with a screaming kid in the back, joy!

Remember last year when all the snow fell at once and the country ground to a hault, well it took me a total of 12 hours to do a 45 min journey, including 2.5 hours to get through the Hatfield tunnel!!!

Come to think of it I didn't actually manage to drive home, ended up parking up at a train station and doing the last 6 or so miles on the train drinking minature whiskeys that a kind off duty driver had shared

Don't start me on "Motorway Jams I Have Experienced"

But...

I remember when Concorde visited Belfast International (1982?) & being stuck in one big f-off traffic-jam for 2 hours
