We have foreign visitors at work so apparently our salad cart will have no pork in it this week.
Can't see how thats fair that I'm not allowed to have pork for lunch just cos some foreign bloke comes in. Couldn't see the favour being returned for any brit in another country

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to smuggle some pork into the salad cart some time this week. Then, if the guy doesn't get struck down by his "God", you can tell him the good news that he has been avoiding a tasty meat all his life for no good reason!

That really sucks and is partly what is wrong with this country. Visitors should respect our culture, not the other way round.
I've travelled all over the world and every country I've visited I respect their culture and accept the way they do things.
Next time I'm in the middle east I might demand bacon sandwiches because I'm a visitor.

dont be morons....we are not providing something for them we find offensive (which is what all the "i want pork in the middle east" ppl are suggesting"
they are just taking something of the menu that they dont want.

Thing is veggies and vegans find ALL meat offensive and I wonder if meat would be taken out of the salad cart for them. If not why should it be taken off just because of a visitors religious beliefs, and as someone has already mentioned they don't have to eat it just as long as it's clearly marked up.
It then becomes a personal choice and not someone dictating how another person should live their life.
In this case it's obviously the company just being polite to a vistitor which is fine, just a little annoying.

maybe the bosses thought it would be a nice thing to do and no one would be sad enough to moan about it?
assuming the "visitors" are important to the business maybe they dont care what ppl moan abour (esp those who are on the net instead of working anyway?)

thing is... it was never really meant as a moan.. but it just pissed me off cos i had even less to eat at lunch time!
I'm not gonna go home and cry about it.. if i was that bothered i'd just have gone out and bought lunch instead!
