I guess all the video footage from other such events has finally caught up with this years Cannonball Run in Spain. 70 vehicles seized, incl Ferrari's & Porsches. Is anyone surprised?

£650 fine to release cars, after forking out £3000 to even go in the first place - I would be well annoyed if I had paid £3000 and then found out the correct permission hadnt been obtained !!!!
As you say though, I'm not exactly surprised.

Well after watching the Gumball a month ago I'm not entirely surprised. When you have various people bragging about doing silly speeds, 150mph+ on public roads, and some caught on film doing these silly speeds, the Spanish government is quite right to take a dim view on this type of rally.
Can you imagine if they tried it in the UK, a couple of them would be spending some time at Her Madges pleasure for dangerous driving if they were caught.
